Built in 1907, this home has had an interesting history. Lkke many homes in the area, it was originally the home of a CP Rail worker from Ogden Rail Yards and his family. Years later it was abandoned and even used as a hideout for some escaped inmates from the Drumheller Penitentiary. Eventually slated for demolition, it was purchased and saved by a young woman with incredible carpentry skills. She painstakingly restored the house to its original glory and even moved the house up onto a new foundation. It is now filled with a young family of four and sits proudly as a reminder that the past is worth preserving!
