3201 6 Street Southwest, Calgary

We bought the home in 2003. It had undergone substantially renos around 1999 during which the top floor was completely reconstructed and also at the main level substantial modernization took place. However, the previous owner also kept key elements in place that still give it a historic view. It is a great house! Even the garage has character as it was lengthened at one time to allow longer cars (post T-Ford types) to be parked. I may have the only automatic garage door opener that operates hinged “barn-style” doors..
Interesting is that a picture of the house from 1914-1915 (attached; third house on the left in the background) shows a different upper level than a 1960 picture (also attached). Was it reconstructed?
