Completed construction at the time of the Turner Valley oil discoveries and the opening salvos of World War I (newspapers with stories of those contemporary events found used as an air barrier under the plaster). House was at 2601 Carleton Street SW and occupied by several contractors, bankers and oil and gas people over the years. In 1994, the house was relocated to the present address and restored and renovated.
