My home is a classic tiny farm house, built of sturdy Douglas fir. The rooms are small, but used to be smaller! It has been modernized, i.e. windows, heat and electricity, but the wood around windows and doors is still original and unpainted, which is remarkable. There is a vintage workbench in the basement which I believe was used to build the house. There is an old claw tub in the bathroom, and there are odd little spaces, nooks and crannies throughout. One hundred years ago, I could have stood on my front porch and looked down at the original fires of the first Stampede!
